Bowater Credit Union is pleased to announce the hiring of Larae Graves as Vice President of Lending. Graves began her career in financial services with Southeast Bank in Athens, Tennessee, serving in various capacities including Senior Mortgage Processor. She gained experience with Credit Unions as Mortgage Loan Services Manager at UT Federal Credit Union in Knoxville, Tennessee. She returned to our local community with People’s Bank of East Tennessee as Credit & Loan Operations Department Manager, Director of Operations of their mortgage division, and as a Commercial Lender. In her new at Bowater Credit Union, Graves will provide strategic lending leadership and oversee all loan operations. She brings experience leading core lending teams, managing product portfolios, and evaluating and responding to changes in regulatory, market and competitive conditions. Graves is a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, focusing on Finance and Human Resource Management. She is an active member of the Athens community, including continuing service as an Athens Area Chamber of Commerce Diplomat.
