Day 1: Depart from your hometown and head to beautiful Savannah, Georgia. After checking into the Hampton Inn Historic District, you will enjoy a buffet dinner at Carey Hilliard’s Restaurant.
Day 2: After breakfast, travel to Savannah’s Visitor Center where you will meet your guide for a 2-hour tour of one of the largest restored National Historic Landmark Districts in the nation. You will see 2.2 square miles of the Historic District showing over 270 years of rich history with its restored 18th and 19th-century buildings and the waterfront where cotton warehouses are now restaurants, hotels, and shops. This beautiful city eloquently displays exquisite ironwork, ancient cobblestones, splendid mansions, and picturesque cottages. You will see and hear about Factors Walk, Trustees Garden, City Market, and Colonial Cemetery. Enjoy lunch on your own in Savannah’s Old City Market area where you will find a wide array of restaurants and shops in the location that has been the hub of the city’s social and business activity for centuries. This evening enjoys dinner at The Shell House with a choice of several entrees, then meet your trolley for a Ghosts & Gravestones Tour. Widely considered by ghost hunters and paranormal investigators as being America’s Most Haunted City, Savannah’s dark past is unveiled on this spooky tour! Learn about the city’s origins with its founding in 1733 when it was built upon Native American burial grounds.
Day 3: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning, then continue to the riverfront area where you can enjoy some free time to browse the shops on Savannah’s famous River Walk. Lunch is on your own here as well and the remainder of the day is yours to explore Savannah at your own pace. Start your evening off with a delicious buffet dinner at The Pirates House Restaurant, then continue to the historic Savannah Theatre for a fantastic Musical Revue Show. Enjoy an exciting 2 hours packed with music, dancing, comedy, and more.
Day 4: Following breakfast, check out and prepare for your departure home with fond memories of Savannah, GA.
