Itinerary:
- Bus leaves at 7:00 AM (from Hobby Lobby in Cleveland, TN)
- Lunch at The Whistle Stop Cafe
- Explore downtown Juliette, Georgia, and visit iconic scenes from the award-winning movie Fried Green Tomatoes
- Drive 10 minutes to a Christmas Traditions tour at Juiette’s historic site, Jarrel Plantation
Join the Bowater Gold Checking Travel Club for a day trip to Juliette, Georgia. You will get to have lunch in the original Whistle Town Cafe where the award-winning movie Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed. Then explore downtown Juliette, where you can shop around for antiques, artwork, local honey, and many other treats. While exploring downtown, you can stumble upon sets used in the filming of Fried Green Tomatoes! After all the tomato fun, we will take a short 10-minute drive to the historic site of Jarrell Plantation. From here there will be a guided tour of two decorated historic farmhouses where you’ll learn about Christmas traditions, such as tree decorating, carols, and gifts. You will also be able to see how much traditions have changed from the 1800s to the 1900s. After having a better understanding of Christmas traditions, it will be time to head back home.
Trip will max out after 30 people. Deadline to pay is December 8th
