Q: What protections do your credit cards offer?
A: To reduce the risk of fraud, both our VISA credit cards come with the option to enroll in Visa Purchase Alerts. This free service can notify you when your card is used to make a purchase.
You can also customize the notifications. For example, you could request to be notified for any purchases over $500 or you may get a notification for all purchases.
- If you made the purchase, you don’t need to do anything when you receive an alert.
- If you didn’t make the purchase, you can take instant steps to cancel your card, and alert your card issuer and the authorities.
Q: What credit score do I need to get a credit union credit card?
A: For our ScoreCard Rewards VISA, there is no minimum credit score required The APR is based on your credit score and can vary from 6% to 24%.
Approval is based on factors including:
- Your debt-to-income (DTI) ratio
- Your overall financial situation and repayment history
To qualify for our fixed rate Classic VISA, you’ll need a credit score of 700+.
Q: Do I need to pay an annual fee?
A: No, there’s no annual fee, whether you choose our Rewards VISA or Classic VISA! In addition, our Classic VISA and ScoreCard Rewards VISA offers no balance transfer fee and no over-limit fee.
To keep your credit score in great shape, you should always pay on time and, that way, you’ll avoid our late payment fee equal to 5% of your minimum payment due with a $20 minimum. Luckily, there’s a 25-day grace period for the repayment of your balance for purchases!
There’s also a $0.50 minimum finance charge if you don’t pay off your balance in full each month.
